The ADSL subsystem handles all the physical aspects of the ADSL, including line coding, error correction, and interfacing with the 2- or 4-wire local loop. The ADSL subsystem includes the following

Supports 802.11g data rates of up to 54 Mbps with automatic fallback to 48, 36, 24,18, 12, 9, and 6 Mbps
Supports 802.1lb data rates of up to 11 Mbps with automatic fallback to 5.5, 2, and1 Mbps
OFDM modulation with full-duplex MAC and half-duplex baseband
Multiple radio interfaces
Supports 64 and 128-bit WEP, WPA, and 802.1x
Wireless LAN 802.11G
Voice gateway between POTS telephones and VoIP
Incoming and outgoing calls can be routed over either the PSTN or VoIP, with PSTN switching for up to two FXS ports
Support for SIP protocols
Voice processing functions including asymmetric selection of voice codecs (G.711, G.726, G.729ab)
Echo cancellation (G.168) configurable
