The Starfish is a LAN in a box. It is perfect to be used for internet access in offices of up to 50 employees. The main features are an integrated firewall, DHCP server, DNS caching, NTP server,
IP-IP tunneling and even a proxy gateway.
The Starfish can support multiple internal devices, so it is possible to accomodate high-availability requirements with network fallover or even to spread load across two different GSM
networks.
The IP ranges allocated by the DHCP server can be configured to accomodate servers with fixed IPs. The Starfish is available in a single channel GPRS/EDGE (230kbit) version right up to a dual
GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA (3.6Mbps) version.
Configuration is very easy through an intuitive web server with security.
The 7 port 100Mbps/10Mbps switch has a full-speed switching backplane with a 1.6Gbps switching fabric. Each port is capable of auto negotiating 10/100 Mbits speed and can automatically accommodate
normal and crossover ethernet cabling (MDI/MDI-X).
A graphical display provides the user with information such as the status, signal quality, IPs and bearer type.
