The manufacture installed DDWRT (v24) OS for these routers. The setting menu is same as normal; but DDWRT expands the routers many functions.

You can see the DDWRT router's memory is 32M exactly same as WRT300N v1.   

DDWRT is a free firmware (PC experts properly know), which operates a router to work. It is a linux OS, so free to install. DDWRT firmware is very powerful to control and setting a router and widely apply to Broadcom chip routers. However, not all routers can use DDWRT, because it has a high requirement for a router's hardware, eg: flash >4M; RAM>16M. Only several top brand routers such as LINKSYS, BUEFFALO can be flashed by DDWRT. Wireless enthusiasts might know what I am talking about; many wireless enthusiasts update their original Linksys firmware to DDWRT for acquiring more powerful performance. (see picture5)

Compared with LINKSYS WRT300N, the DDWRT IS:

No need to say more about Linksys wrt300n, it was one of Linksys flagship wireless products.Linksys is notable for its high quality and excellent performance in networking area. Its reputation in networking area just like IBM, HP in PC area, or like BMW or Mercedes Benz in automobile! However, Linksys products are famous not only for its high quality and performance but for its high price as well.

What is DDWRT? It is neither a brand nor a logo actually; it was simply printed on the wireless router by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) factory in Taiwan. Before being branded logo the two routers are exactly same, same batch products and made by one OEM factory. Because the OEM 's Europe customer cancelled a small part of its order, the factory left hundreds of products which can only be marked DDWRT and sell to distributors in China at low price. (see picture 3)

Could you please allow me to introduce a special wireless router here! As you see, the router on the picture1 is Linksys wrt300n wireless router, and the router on picture2, you properly think this is wrt300n too, however it is not. What is the different between them? If you observe carefully, you could find that theirs LOGO are different. Yes you are right; these two wireless routers are exactly same just logo different. One is LINKSYS another is DDWRT.
