One of the widely used Resins, PVC Resin is used for building material such as Window Profile, Pipe and packing material such as films, variously used for furnish and transit materials. As per PVC manufacturing processes, PVC is processed with various construction methods including hard, soft, semi-hard pressing, injection, calendaring by the purpose of use. Generally, the degree of polymerization of PVC Resin is 500-2,900 and the ones for hardening and pressing is about. We use products with 1,040 the degree of polymerization. PVC Resin is made of micro-size raw material components to be processed with linear continuity pressing process. And heat stabilizer, light stabilizer, process lubricant, filler, pigment are added and produced with the type of compound.
Most extruding companies have facilities for simple extruding technology or for compounding. But LG Chem has facilities and technology to produce PVC Resin directly from raw materials e.g. oil. And we have technologies to produce our own compounds by adding materials fit to our Profile. And, LG Chem has own research center and resources, we are developing CAE System which can design Die/Mold and the best products using CAD system which allows us to analyze and evaluate mold design and CAM equipment.
Since LG Chem first produced PVC Profile in 1976, today we have over 200 Co-Extruder and Dual-Extruder in Korea and China which produce more than 200,000 tons per year. Products are exported to all over the world including America, China, Russia and the Middle East. We have Slider, Lift Slider, Parallel Slider & Tilt, Tilt & Turn, Clad Awning & Casement Windows systems.
To perfect quality management, LG Chem checks raw materials before processing at compound facilities and compounds made of the qualified raw material are put into a extruder. And produced Profile is tested by global standart, the Profile that has been passed the test is packed and delivered. For this quality management, Drop Impact Tester, Impact Tester, UV tester are equipped and trained technicians die operating them.
