PART I GENERAL
1.0.1 SCOPE
Furnish CLARK DOOR power operated single horizontal sliding door as shown on
plans. Available in cooler and freezer models. Doors to be complete with all hardware
necessary for installation and operation.
1.0.2 RELATED WORK
Opening preparation, miscellaneous or structural metal work, access panels, finish or
field painting, electrical wiring, wire, conduit, fuses and disconnect switches are in the
scope of work of other divisions or trades.
PART II PRODUCT
2.0.1 MATERIALS
DOOR PANEL :
Door panel is constructed with aircraft quality extruded aluminum internal frame with
mitered corners. Panel clad with 26 GA G-90 galvanized steel, white painted with
non-directional stucco embossed pattern. Finish paint to be IMPERIAL WHITE
modified polyester with a dry film thickness of 1.0 mil inclusive of primer coat. Meets
USDA - MID and Canadian Food Inspection Agency requirements.
DOOR FRAME
Casings and header to be Imperial White extruded High density Polyethylene.
INSULATION
Door panels are insulated with NON-CFC Polyurethane (R value 7.8 per inch).
Available in 3, 4 & 6 doors.
HARDWARE
Door to be complete with all hardware necessary for operation. Door track: Extruded
aluminum door track with (2) heavy duty rollers per panel mounted on solid aluminum
carrier with U.H.M.W. rails to provide down and in seal and assure immediate gasket
clearance upon opening. Stayroller assemblies (2) with hard plastic wheels. All
hardware to have corrosion resistant coating. OPTIONAL: Double J door track
available upon request.
GASKET
Gaskets at sides and top to be adjustable bulb type, grease resistant neoprene
rubber. Sweep sill gasket to be grease resistant, nylon reinforced neoprene rubber.
FREEZER DOORS
Freezer doors are equipped with full perimeter heater cable requiring a separate 110V
AC, single phase electric connection. (OPTIONAL) Additional heated seals for 20
degrees F.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
Power requirements are 110V 575V, 1 phase, 60 cycle (one leg of 3 phase capped).
MOTOR / OPERATOR
Clark NEX-GEN dual speed operator. Brushless technology motor coupled to
planetary gears in synthetic grease totally enclosed for life. Controller with overload
protection provides smooth quiet operation with programmable acceleration and
deceleration. Two (2) remote pullcord stations for open / close controls. Controls to be
dry contact (5V D.C.). Nema 4 enclosures. Programmable obstruction sensing for
safety. Roller chain (#40) drive enclosed inside removable chain guard. Operates on
an average speed of 29 per second to open and 18 per second to close. OPTIONAL:
Battery back-up in case of power failure.
OPTIONS
DOOR: kickplates, lock hasp & staple with power cut-off switch (with or without
emergency release), vision panels insulated or heated.
FRAME: Inside jamb and/or mirrior image backframe.
STEEL: (Type) smooth or stucco embossed. (Finish) 24 GA #304 2B Stainless steel.

2.0.2 SUBSTITUTIONS
This specification is written with CLARK DOOR INC as the basis of acceptable
performance. No substitutions will be considered unless a written request is received
in
the Architects office at least 14 days prior to date for receipt of bids.
2.0.3 SUBMITTALS
In compliance with the specification requirements, submit detailed shop drawings for
each door showing in clear detail all mounting requirements and accessories.
2.0.4. QUALITY ASSURANCE
Doors shall be installed in accordance with Architects plans and specifications and
Clark Doors written instructions, drawings and recommendations. Door shall be
guaranteed against defective materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year
from date of shipment.
