Window Bronze

The doors and the windows found in SQUARE LINE 68 in wood various species and finishings, have a frame section 68 x 83 mm and sash section 68 x 110 mm. The design features a triple overlay with a circulation channel. The joints between the rails and stiles are held together with pegs with anti-torsion ridges giving a larger surface area for gluing with Class D3 marine glue.

The finish on the wood starts with a layer of flow-coat impregnation. This water-soluble finish protects the wood against fungal or insect attacks and is colored or transparent to ward off degradation by UV rays. An intermediate an top layer is made up of water-soluble stain and finish, 300 microns thick, protecting the unit in all conditions.

This line utilizes double thermo-acoustic rubber gasketing installed around the frame. The glass is dual glazed, fixed with silicone to the unit. On the lower rail, a round, anodized aluminium weep is inserted with a drip chamber 19 mm in diameter.

On the doors,thermally-broken sill is inserted.

Maico operating hardware with a silver finish is utilized throughout the product.

External cladding in anticated bronze with brunitura  is attached to the wood with clips, keeping the cladding 5mm away from wood.  This distance was determined to be the best by the Technical Window Institute (IFT) in Rosenheim, Germany.  The 5mm distance provides adequate ventilation between the wood and bronze.
