ASSA -
ASSA is by far one of the most secure locks on the international market today.
ASSA first opened their doors in Sweden in 1881 and since then became a
partner in the Assa Abloy Group making them one of the largest security
manufacturers in the world.
ASSA makes locks to cover every application and can be seen in use at places
like The World Bank, Boeing, The United States Supreme Court, AT&T, and The
Baltimore Ravens Stadium to name a few.
ASSA Twin Maximum cylinders are the most advanced UL437 listed high security
locks available. This system is protected against unauthorized duplication by
multiple patents and is highly pick, drill, tamper, and vandal resistant. These
features make this high security restricted key system the most secure locking
system on the market today.
Furthermore the price is well worth the investment and is less than most popular
high security brands. Higher security at a cheaper price? What could be better.
Abloy -
Abloy locks are less common in this area but are very popular in other areas of
the nation and the world. As a partner in The Assa Abloy Group company, they
offer a different perspective on lock design. With its unique lock and key
designs, it holds some of its key restriction quality after its patent ends due to
the fact that its key blanks and special key cutting machines are still not readily
available to the public.
Abloy locks are also highly pick, drill, and tamper resistant.
Abloy locks will fill most standard applications and the price is standard for high
security cylinders.
Medeco -
Medeco locks could be considered a basic high security lock offering pick,
drill, and tamper resistance. Medeco has become popular in this country
despite the young age of this company and with The Assa Abloy Group as
Medeco's new parent company, we are sure to see some good things in the
future for this company.
Medeco offers a good level of security and even though it has a tendency to be
high on the price scale,is widely available and is a very popular system.
Note: Due to its popularity ,Medeco keys generally become readily available to
the public as soon as a key way's patent runs out. Before investing in or
upgrading a Medeco system, be sure that you check the patent status if key
control or unauthorized duplication is one of your needs!
Kaba Peaks Global -
Kaba
Peaks Global is a new restricted key system from
Kaba-Ilco Corp. Made in the USA, this product has a highly restricted key way
and a high level of pick resistancy. Global will retrofit to most locking devices.
In addition, Kaba makes a full line of interchangable cores that will replace
popular IC cylnders like Best, Arrow, and Falcon making it a perfect replacment
option for locations already set up for Interchangable core that are looking for
higher key restriction with increased physical security.
Peaks Global offers a good level of security and a high level of key restriction,
and prices for about half the cost of most high security cylnders. Perfect for
increasing security on a large number of doors without spending large
amounts of money.
Kaba Peaks -
The Kaba Peaks locks have the same great features as the Global
system but is covered by a seperate patent. Its price is less than the Global
system, making it perfect for use on interior doors in office parks or schools.
With either the Peaks or Peaks Global systems, we can set up the initial setup
and then work with on site maintenance people to help large facilities
maintain their own system.
RXO -
RXO keys are a dealer based key way. That means that they only offer key
restriction but having a key that can't be readily duplicated is valuable. The
perfect key for a private home, for rental property, or anyone who wants to
control the number of keys in existence to their property. At a price equivalent
to a standard key or cylinder, why not install a lock with key control.
