Jacobson Protective Shutter offers ArmorPanel, a unique alternative to standard hurricane panels.
ArmorPanel is certified to meet the stringent Florida Building Codes.
The panels are soft-sided and made from rugged DuPont Kevlar? reinforced fabric. 
Panels can be rolled, laid flat or hung which means they are easy and space efficient to store.
Unique mounting systems can be used to address issues of egress.
The panels are flame retardant and have UV, anti-mold and anti-mildew inhibitors added.
ArmorPanel provides and economical alternative to more expensive products and are well suited for larger openings such as lanais and sliding glass doors.
Unlike aluminum or polycarbonate panels which only come in widths of 6 or 12, ArmorPanel comes up to 144 in width. Large openings can often be covered with a single panel, reducing installation time and storage space.
Panels are significantly lighter weight than aluminum or plywood and have no sharp edges, which reduces the risk of injury during deployment.
The ArmorPanel grommet and wing nut installation system allows homeowners to easily put up panels as a storm approaches.
Panels are translucent, allowing natural light into your home during a storm.  This reduces reliance on candles, flashlights or a generator if power outages occur.
