 There are common facilities in a hotel such as car-park, health club, VIP lounge, etc., which are provided for guest and hotel staff on a selective basis. ELID manufactures a wide range of Electronic Identification Equipment, including Car Park Access Control Equipment, Lift Access Equipment, Electronic Time Clocks, Data Entry Terminals. These equipment are completely compatible with EH40 FLEXI Hotel Locks. The same FLEXI cards used on FLEXI-locks can be programmed to be read and recognized by all other ELID equipment.

Built-in Security
EH40W encoder is equipped with a card reader to identify the person issuing the equipment. A person who wishes to use the EH40W encoder must log in first by presenting his staff card and PIN code. The equipment will only allow him access if he is authorized. Furthermore, users are classified into 2 security levels. Sensitive commands are only accessible to higher access levels.

Versatile Operation
The EH40W encoder is a powerful yet easy to use key card issuing equipment for use at the front desk. After setting up, the operator only needs to type in the hotel room number and the encoder will automatically issue the correct sequence card. The encoder can be directly linked to a Printer to log down every operator action. The encoder can also be used to issue staff cards.

Simple Programming
EH40L comes with a programming keypad located on the lock itself. No extra programmer is need for programming the unit. The programming steps are very simple and can be quickly mastered. The programming keypad is only activated when a special "Master Card" and the correct PIN number are entered.

Mechanical Override
The lock can be opened by a mechanical key in the event of a failure of the Electronics.

Low Battery Warning
When battery is weak, the battery-weak-LED will blink to indicate that the battery needs changing. Typically, a new set of battery will last 12,000 openings. Memory is not affected during battery changing.

Dealing With Lost "Keys"
Whether the lost "keys" are from hotel guest or from hotel staff, the old keys can be deleted and the new "keys" issued by simple programming procedures.

Hotel Staff
EH40 FLEXI-locks can recognize a second group of cards called Staff cards. Each staff card has a 10-digit code that uniquely defines the card. Each EH40 FLEXI-locks can store up to 250 Staff card numbers in its memory. Any card whose number is inside the memory will be able to open the door.

Giving A New "Key" To Your Guest Every Time
EH40L FLEXI-locks can recognize a particular type of FLEXI-cards called SEQUENCE cards which are specifically issued to guests. A new guest checking into the hotel is always given a new sequence card. When this sequence card is used on EH40L FLEXI-lock, the lock will automatically delete the old sequence card. This means that guest who have checked out cannot get into the room again because the lock "combination" has been changed electronically and automatically. It also means that you can preissue new "keys", for example for tour groups, without waiting for the "keys" to be returned, knowing that the new "keys" will always override the old "keys".

Status Indication
Four LED indicators and a buzzer are provided on EH40L FLEXI-locks to clearly show the status of the lock inoperation.

Swipe Reader For Easy Usage
EH40L FLEXI-locks are equipped with swipe readers for easy and fast operation. Objects deliberately inserted into the swipe reader slot are ejected when FLEXI-cards are swipe through the slot.
