IPE DECKING Ipe, native to Central and South America, is an extremely dense wood that has earned high marks as a decking product.The wood has a very high resistance to all insect and fungal attacks without the necessity of harmful chemical treatments. Extremely tight grained and essentially knot free, it resists shrinking and cupping, is able to withstand heavy traffic, and is naturally fire resistant.
