An old Bavarian proverb states, "The larger the planks, the richer the farmer." This exclusive wide plank flooring is produced with timeless character and manufactured with great expertise. Their floors are available wire-brushed or hand-planed, with a special aged finish and a wide variety of colors. A new proprietary drying technique creates planks with a surface that resembles the normal wear and tear a plank floor receives over hundreds of years of use and cleaning. Schotten & Hansen planks are available up to 16 wide and 16 long. Because the planks are engineered, they lay flat and produce minimal gaping during the driest times of the year.
