Merbau Floors offers wide range of colour variability from lightorange brown to dark reddish brown. The Merbau wood is orange brown todark reddish brown. The sapwood is usually pale yellow and easilydistinguished. The colour will darken with age and on exposure.

Merbau is a medium - heavy timber from a large hardwood. Merbau Wood native to South East Asia, especially Malaysia and Indonesia. There are also some occurrences of Merbau Wood in New Guinea, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and northern Australia.

The Merbau Flooring is a very hard, durable species. Merbauis almost as stable as teak. And although comparable to hickory instrength, Merbau has a much lower density.
