Machaka Leopard
|
Born from abyssal depth, granite rose, and then stalled to crystallize. Again it rose to penetrate older granites. The granite exhibits porphyritic texture testifying to its multi staged melt history. Eventually it came to rest near surface in huge stoping domes, never extruding, only to be exposed to surface through millions of years of weathering and denudation. Characterized by huge feldspar crystals and colored with interspaced biotite particles this granite is particularly handsome when cut and polished.
Matok Leopard, like its animal counterpart, mottled and flecked, quiet, strong, yet peaceful. It takes a particularly handsome mirror like polish and cleans easily. |
