Granite Stone

Sg Long Industries was incorporated on 31 May 1990 with the objective of privatising the JKR Quarry at Sg Long Selangor. The company with 20% participation of Selangor State Government took over the management of Sg Long Quarry from JKR on 16 December 1990.

It operates on a 640 acre of a rock hill with an abundance of high quality granite reserve, which is required in the construction industries. Sg Long Industries Sdn. Bhd. produces and supplies many types of Granite Stone Aggregates ranging from Blocks to Quarry Dust with production capacity of 150,000 metric tones per month. The granite Aggregates being produced complies to various specifications and for different usage.

Other core activities of the company include production and supply of Bituminous Mixes for road and building construction, especially in the Klang Valley and Selangor State.

KM Quarry Sdn. Bhd., was established under a joint venture between Bina Puri Group of Companies and Kumpulan Melaka Bhd., an investment arm of Malacca State overnment. The company was incorporated on 8 November 1996 and the joint venture will enable KM Quarry Sdn. Bhd. to participate in the rapid development growth in Malacca State, the Historical City of Malaysia. With the combined expertise and strength of both parties, KM Quarry Sdn. Bhd. will be able to compete and deliver high quality products.
