Granit has been established in order to fulfill the demands domestic and abroad by using the granite and natural stone potential in our country in the most
efficient way. The major aim for establishing Granit is creating a price advantage by decreasing the production costs to the lowest level possible and making Turkish granite the leader of
the sector. In our factory, established on 50.000 m2 of which 8000 m2 is covered, this target has been achieved with the help of feasibility studies and plans carried out prior to its
establishment and an advantage in the costs enough to allow competing with the Fareast prices has been achieved. The production in Granit, which takes place in ?anakkale's Ezine district,
continues 24 hours a day uninterrupted and with a personnel of 300.
The Kestanbol area is a great example for the relationship between natural stone, human and civilization, and has made important contribution to the
construction and development of Akdeniz basin civilizations with its granite reserves.
Our factory's granite production capacity, which is 1.200 m2 daily and 25.000 m2 monthly, will be multiplied by five when the additional units under
construction are completed.
The production of Graniturk is mainly focused on two types of granite. One of these types is gray in color and is mostly used for street, sidewalk, road and
square arrangements. The other type is the granite extracted from the K?rklareli Kofcaz mine and is known as the pink stone in te local area. This durable granite, which has a nice look, a
beautiful color and a porphyrin structure, has been used since the ancient times. Pink colored and big orphosed, porphyrin structured granites seen frequently in Istanbul's mosques have
been supplied from the Kestanbol area. We continue to work on widening our product range by accessing the different reserves in our country.
How Did We Accomplish This?
The success of Granit which is achieved as a result of the price and competitive advantage it offers, put an end to the dominancy of the foreign factors in the
markets and is based on the rationality of its investments and a correct analysis of the sector dynamics.
In Granit
- Production facility is established on the mine and the shipment of the blocks does not bring any additional cost.
- All of the operations in the factory, which is an integrated facility, is completed within the distance of 50 -100 meters.
- All the machines in the factory have been supplied from abroad by the most favourable costs possible.
- It has a production capacity of 1.200 m2 daily and 300.000 m2 yearly. (Efforts continue to be carried out to increase the capacity)
- Water need is supplied from the artesian wells in the production site and the used water is re-used after it has been purified.
