The Standard Brick and Tile Co. (Yelahanka) Pvt. Ltd was started in the year 1930. The fourth generation of the promoters manage this 75 year old company. Various terracotta products are manufactured for the building industry like Roofing tiles, Wirecut Bricks, Clay hollow blocks, Clay weather proof tiles, Clay flooring tiles and various clay decorative tiles.

We also manufacture cement flooring tiles and coloured concrete roofing and facia tiles manufactured under the technical assistance from Vortex Hydra of Italy under the brand name of 'Stancrete'.

Terracotta which literally means Baked earth has a significant meaning in Hindu philosophy because it is made of earth, water and is burnt in fire. Terracotta tiles are manufactured using the natural clay found and extracted from dry water tanks or lakes. The natural element of the raw material enhances the bright natural colour and when molded and fired at more than 850 Degree Centrigrate gives the tiles strength and durability. Terracotta products are economical, eco friendly, and are good sound and thermal insulants. This is ideal for a country like India which can have very hot summers.
