What is Fiberboard
MDF (medium density fiberboard) is manufactured from a wood fiber/resin combination that is formed into a mat. The random-fiber oriented mat is then hot pressed and finished. The resulting smooth surface is comparable to wood and has excellent machining characteristics that yield clean, sharp edges in cutting and drilling operations. MDF provides a superior surface for high tech finishes including lacquers, foils and thin-paper laminates.
