Laminated timber

In recent years, the commerce of Laminated Meranti Profile has generated an unfortunate situation where over-competitive pricing has resulted in the disregard of the minimum standard of quality, in turn due to a lack of enforcement of specific quality rules. In such a reality WoodAsia has made it certain that our credo for good quality timber products has resisted this negative trend and since some time we have established two quality grades, respectively: SUPERIOR and NORMAL. During quality control of these products our graders adhere strictly to precise classification parameters (detailed leaflet is available to our buyers). Both types of quality profile are produced with timber having a basic moisture content that ranges from 10 to 12 % and using glues that meets the DIN standard EN204 D4. The Superior Quality Profile further distinguishes itself from the Normal Quality based on other specific classification characteristics such as grade of timber used, wood density, colour uniformity, long lengths availability, defects tolerance etc. An ethical choice which has met up with the positive response by our customers who see this classification as a form of intended clarity in the categorization of Laminated Meranti Profile.
