Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is used as a substrate for wood veneers, particularly for applications where it is desirable for the edges to be moulded and exposed. MDF is the most versatile of
wood panel products specially developed for furniture and construction industry. The main advantage of MDF is its homogeneous nature which gives its consistency from surface to core with high
density surfaces & edges. The flat smooth surface of MDF is uniform, dense & free of knots or grain patterns, making finishing operations simpler and more economical.
MDF is made from plantation based wood like eucalyptus and agricultural residues like cotton stalk. The panels are manufactured from dried wood fibres which are bonded together under heat and high
pressure using thermosetting resin. The pressed panels are fine sanded to a smooth and consistent finish and then sawn to size.
MDF is available in thickness from 6mm to 35mm in panel form & Size of 8 * 4 (2.44mts * 1.22 mts)
MDF is available with NUWUD, JACWUD and Imported MDF.
