This new HD LCD monitor from is being pitched to high-end camera users. The 120Hz, 1080p Xiview (model LT-42WX70) claims to have a features that complement a digital SLR camera by displaying images with accurate reproduction. It has expanded color capacity for 100 percent of the HD color space (sRGB.904) and a coverage rate of 96 percent for Adobe RGB. In addition it includes JVC's GENESSA picture engine, which can upconvert 8-bit and 10-bit color images and video to 12-bit, and the ability to make up to 52 picture adjustments in order to fine-tune a picture. The idea is that users will connect their cameras to the monitor to review images for more precise editing and selection. The 42-inch monitor is also very slim at 1-5/8 inches deep and will retail for $2,399.95.
