The primary use is for high volume catalog and advertising photography. This type of work, which involves shooting the maximum number of products in the minimum amount of time, can easily generate
the volume needed to make digital photography profitable. On film, the vast majority of this type of work is done with view cameras. In the digital medium, most of the reasons for using view
cameras still apply. If youre purchasing a digital view camera from scratch, your best bet would be the Sinarcam/p2 combination. For Catchlight and existing DCB II cameras, there are the x/d and
p2/Leaf packages.
