no worries. FT1 / TS1's fortified outer body casing and intermediate resin chassis protects it from short falls, making it perfect for work and hiking trips. The 12.1-megapixel high-resolution FT1
/ TS1 features a 28mm wide-angle 4.6x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (35mm film camera equivalent: 28-128mm). The FT1 / TS1s Photo iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode controls MEGA O.I.S.,
Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition, Intelligent Exposure and AF Tracking. Movie iA is also available, controlling MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent Scene Selector, Face
Detection AF/AE, and Intelligent Exposure.
FT1 / TS1 records HD movies (1280x720 pixels) in AVCHD Lite and also allows optical zoom during recording. Furthermore, FT1 / TS1 also features Dolby Digital Stereo Creator, which records dynamic,
true-to-life audio that brings out the power of the HD video. The FT1 / TS1's 2.7-inch LCD has a total of 230,000 dots for high resolution and features the Intelligent LCD function, which increases
the backlight brightness in 11 steps according to the ambient light intensity. At the highest of these 11 steps, the LCD backlight becomes approx. 1.4 times brighter than normal.
