The Sunext SC5220 is a single-chip recordable DVD controller capable of 52X CD-R write, 32X CD-RW write, 52X CD read and 16X DVD read and write speeds, including 16X DVD-RAM read and write. CAV and CLV read and write methods are supported for CD. The SC5220 provides a high level of integration that includes an ARM7 microprocessor, serial flash interface, integrated cache memory, real-tme jitter measurement at full speed, Ultra DMA ATA/ATAPI-5 interface, Analog Front End (AFE), CD Decoder/Encoder, CD Servo, Wobble Processor and integrated Write Strategy.An advanced architecture affords reduced error rates, greater seek accuracy, and improved seek access time.
