Only waterproof rated connectors will be considered for LV ABC insulated conductors. The dielectric behaviour shall be 6 kV under water. IPC shall be designed to tap-off LV ABC conductors complying with HD 626 standard. A single tightening action to both the main and tap conductors shall connect them without removing the insulation. An insulated housing must encapsulate all live components and must be anti UV stabilised black thermoplastic.

It must be suitable for application by one installer working alone with a 13 mm hexagon wrench. Stripping of insulation is avoided.
