Porcelain housed VariSTAR distribution arresters are available in Normal Duty (type AZS) and Heavy Duty Type (type AZL). Both surge arrester design types have been certified to the latest revision of standard ANSI/IEEE C62.11. Arrester duty-cycle ratings range from 3 to 36 kV.

Porcelain Housed VariSTAR Distribution Class Arresters

CPS continues to offer a full line of porcelain housed distribution class arresters. Porcelain housings have been used for arresters for many years with a tremendously reliable service history. Porcelain will not deteriorate, decompose, or change characteristics over time no matter how severe the environment. Arresters can be ordered in standard or high creepage (leakage) housings for contaminated applications. A wide range of mounting brackets and accessories are also available to customize the arrester as needed.
