1. Raw material
The connectors offered are as per our standard manufacturing quality plan consisting of the following stages:-
The connectors manufactured are generally bolted type. Welded / compression type connector also can be developed / supplier.
The connectors designed for the system voltage of 220kV and above are self shielded type, free from visual corona and RIV will be within the limits as per standard / specifications.
For expansion connector, the flexible will be copper (tinned) or Aluminum Laminations for up to 132kV. For 220kv and above AAC standard conductors are welded (Aluminum welding) to the body of the connector.
Wherever Aluminum to copper connections are required, Al. Cu. Bimetallic sheet are too used to avoid galvanic corrosion.
The connector material shall be Al. Alloy 4600-(A6) to 617. For the Aluminum bus bar-substation & Brass grade 3 to I.S 292 / Al. Bronze grade AB2 to I.S 305 for copper bus bar-substation. The fasteners are Mild Steel to I.S 1363 & hot dip Galvanized as per I.S 2629 / Stainless Steel grade A2-70 as per customer requirements / Specification.
The connectors are designed as per I.S: 5561-1975 & can be designed to B.S: 159, NEMA CC1 & other any standards / customers specification.
