Microgen DC Generator For Telecom Shelters

Standby Power Supply for Telecom Shelters & Rail Network DC Systems 12v / 24v / 48v or 240v AC with an inverter**The perfect standby power solution for solar powered sites or mains AC powered sitesBased on an oil cooled diesel engine, the MICROGEN is a small powerful 12v, 24v or 48v standby power supply which will pour up to 150A amps @12v into your battery bank. It is the ideal power supply for telecom shelters and rail network shelters. Used with an inverter and battery bank, it can also supply pure sine 240v AC. The unit is fully automated and starts up as soon as the battery bank drops to 65% capacity. It recharges the batteries, then shuts down and waits for the batteries to drop down to 65% before starting again. For example: With a 40 litre diesel tank (built in to the unit, see above, the generator is mounted on the black 40l tank) and a 40a continuous load at 12v and with a small 225a bank of 12v sealed batteries (AGM type) the unit (and the batteries) will supply standby power for 4 days at 40a continuous. Allowing time for technicians to re-establish mains power or for solar power to catch up during extended cloudy periods. By combining this unit with a small battery bank you have effectively provided a standby power supply equivalent to 70 x 115A 12v batteries and used only 1 / 10 of the floor space. For increased redundancy and mission critical installations, twin units can be installed. That way if one unit fails to start for any reason, the second one will start automatically. The engine is a smooth, single cylinder, oil cooled diesel. The alternator is directly mounted to the engine. This reduces size, vibration, and removes the maintenance issues associated with belts and couplings. The alternator output is controlled by a multistage regulator to ensure that the batteries are charged safely in the shortest time. The regulator senses battery voltage and temperature, and adjusts charge current accordingly. The regulator can be programmed for lead / acid or sealed AGM type batteries. The engine is fitted with full auto safety shut down on low oil pressure. The powder coated aluminium sound shield reduces noise, and is also used to control engine temperature and ventilation. When the generator is mounted within the telecom shelter and mains power is lost, the unit will start automatically and provide a forced air ventilation system to help cool the interior of the shelter, helping to reduce the power consumption of the air conditioner during the power outage. Vibration is virtually eliminated by a double mounting system. With the sound shield on, the unit can be used in areas next to residential buildings. All service points are readily accessible through the sound shield door.
