APPLICATIONS
For above ground electrical service use from the electric utility power service
point to the meter or service entrance panel. Under special conditions as
permitted, the NEC Type SE Style R can be used for interior wiring as branch
circuits to ranges, ovens, cooking units or clothes dryers.
This cable is manufactured in accordance with Article 338 of the NEC and meets
the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Standard 854. Type SE Style R is
approved for installation in accordance with Article 230 of the NEC and has
a voltage rating of 600 volts.
FEATURES
1. CONDUCTORS
Bare soft copper per ASTM B 3, Class B concentrically stranded per ASTM B 8.
2. INSULATION
High dielectric strength, heat and moisture resistant black or colored
polyvinylchloride (PVC) rated for continuous use at 90C dry; 75C wet
meeting the requirements of UL 83 for THHN or THWN wire.
3. CONDUCTOR JACKET
Clear nylon sheath meeting the requirements of UL 83 for THHN or THWN.
4. CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
One conductor black, one conductor white, and one conductor red
(or black with a red stripe).
5. GROUNDING CONDUCTOR
Bare soft copper grounding conductor per ASTM B 3, and Class B
concentrically stranded per ASTM B 8.
6. ASSEMBLY
Conductors are twisted together with the bare copper grounding conductor in
one interstice. A fiberglass reinforced tape is applied over the cabled core.
7. OVERALL JACKET
Extruded protective grey PVC jacket over the taped assembly in accordance
with UL Standard 854.
8. SURFACE MARKING
The jacket surface shall be printed or indented with: DRAKA CABLETEQ
USA-PA TAMAQUA CABLE TYPE SE CABLE STYLE R THHN OR THWN CDRS
600 VOLTS E73061 3 CDRS (SIZE) CU 1 CDR (SIZE) CU (UL).
