SPECIFICATION

A sheathed cable that has a phase core surrounded by neutral earth conductors that form a single concentric layer around the phase core. The cable may include two communication cores. The Phase conductor comprises of a high conductivity hard drawn copper conductor, insulated with a red ultraviolet stabilised cross-linked Polyethylene. The neutral and earth conductors comprises of high conductivity annealed copper and in the case of the neutral and earth construction, the neutral wires are insulated and are formed in a concentric format with equal spacing around the phase conductor and will either include or exclude the communication cores. The cable then has an overall sheath of black ultraviolet stabilised polyethylene to complete the product.

CONSTRUCTION

ALXPE is used as a Single-Phase Aerial Service Cable for domestic services in conjunction with compound earth neutral conductor. It is intended for use in aerial connections to a customers installation, but it may also be installed underground.
