The company has 10 years experience in manufacturing overhead insulated cable, 5000KM of various types and sizes of above cables bad put on market, so far any problem of cable has not been found. The company not only can manufacture cable that is based on China Standard, but also is based on customer offering Standard and special requirement.
There are two type of 10kV grade insulation structure; one is light type and other is common type. The light type cable is used in the place where cable is not in contract with trees frequently and there is not large amount of dust pollution surroundings. Common insulation structure cable is used in place where cable is in contract with trees frequently and has severe dust pollution surroundings. Even if it has advantages of small occupied space and flexibility of insulation. But it is not convenient to repair the electric line.
The structure form of overhead insulated cables have single-core, 2-core, 3-core and (3+1)-core. The insulation materials include polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE) and cross Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) which includes chemical cross-linking and radiation cross-linking as well as resistance to climate of overhead insulation materials. Cable conductors have all aluminum conductor, all copper conductor and all aluminum-steel combined type of conductor.
The overhead insulated cables are specially used, in the places where both sides of streets are covered with branches of trees and green belt area, surrounding building, city construction scene as well as transformer connection lines etc. To use overhead insulated cables, it need not cut a lot of tree branches and can be decreased the distance of crossed cables and distance of parallel cables. It is easy to install the overhead insulated cable and it has high flexibility. Power failure and electric shock accident due to line trouble will be greatly decreased. Thereby, normal power supply for industry production of the city and safety of resident life will be ensured.
With the rapid development of economic reconstruction of city, the construction between electric network and urbanism green belt, electric load, electric safety and so on are becoming increasingly outstanding. In order to improve and solve those contradictions, former Ministry of water Resources gave a notice in 1986 Hereafter, overhead insulated cables will be gradually used in the electric power distribution systems instead of overhead bare conductors. According to the above notice, since 1989 to 1990 The Zhengzhou Cable Company Ltd. engaged in research of overhead insulated cables and successfully manufactured 0.6/1kV and 35kV of overhead insulated cables. Thereafter, the products had been passed by Provincial Authority.
