We manufactured our first switch back in 1931 - the year the first EGO hotplate was developed. Because hotplate and switch are a perfect match: The system concept was born.

Similarly, we also developed the selector switch at the same time as our oven heating elements, and the energy regulator together with the heating elements for glass-ceramic cooktops.

However, switches and energy regulators are not only needed in the electric ranges, but also in many other appliances. These two product families - we have produced around 650 million units
to date - have contributed to E.G.O.'s success.
