Solar Awning

The PowerPort comes complete with 18 Sanyo HIT double-sided HIP-190DA3 solar panels. We use Sanyo bifacial panels because the backside of the panels generate electricity from ambient light that has passed through the panel or is reflected off surrounding surfaces producing up to 30% more power compared to standard one-sided modules. The SMA Sunny Boy inverter is ready for electrical grid interconnection. Local rebates for PV systems may apply.

The steel structure is manufactured from ASTM A500 Grade B steel. The uprights are 5X5 11-gauge tubular steel. The cross beams are 2X6 3/16-wall steel. Corner brackets are custom laser cut 1/4 ASTM A36 steel. Mounting feet are 10 x 10 3/8-steel plate with 4 pre-drilled anchoring holes. The entire structure is designed to handle critical snow, wind and seismic loads and comes complete with a professional engineering stamp.
