Our standard size mini-subs consist of 100kVA, 160kVA, 200kVA, 315kVA, 500kVA, 630kVA, 800kVA and 1000kVA. HT and LT switchgear can be provided to suit individual requirements. Advice and recommendations regarding switchgear is provided by our Engineers, based on the customers requirements and our extremely wide experience accumulated over the years.

Hawker Siddeley is recognized amongst the pioneers of minisubstations and is now one of the largest manufacturers of minisubs and unit substations, with the facility to design and manufacture the complete range presently used in South Africa. These minisubs and unit substations have a range of 100 to 1000 kVA in voltages up to 22kV. We specialize in Type B minisubs consisting Mild Steel or 3CR12 corrosion resistant Steel as recommended in SABS 1029, 1030 and NRS004 with the transformer section complying with SABS 780 and NRS005.
