TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) consists of on LCD panel composed of the screen, the backlight, a light source to transmit light onto LCD, and the Inverter high voltage to drive the backlight; a high voltage transformer to modulate frequency and increase voltage is required of the inverter. According to large scale and slim trend, for TFT-LCD screens, high voltage transformers need thinner and higher-density SMD (Surface Mounting Device). To drive one TFT-LCD, 4 high voltage transformers are necessary.
