AP Gas Power Corporation Limited has got a Gas Based Power Plant in Andhra Pradesh. The 33KV/6.9KV, 2MVA, M/s Vijaya Electricals Ltd., Hyderabad make Power Transformer was used to feed alternative power supply to the 6.6KV High Pressure Boiler Feed Pump Motors during start up operations of Heat Recivery Steam Generator and Steam Turbine. The usage of 33KV power supply was stopped as we could get reliable alternative 11KV power supply and the 33KV switchyard was dismantled. As a result of this, the 33KV/6.9KV, 2MVA Power Transformer became obsolete for the power plant. The transformer was stored properly and necessary storage maintenance is being carried out. The transformer is healthy and can be readily used. This transformer was manufactured in the year 1991 and commissioned at power plant during 1991-92. This is a Three Phase, 50Hz Power Transformer with "On Load Tap Changer" with 17 taps.
