distribution transformer

Any transformer which stepping down higher primary voltage into lower secondary voltage
   suitable for consumer is referred to as distribution transformer.
   In this category there are various types of transformers of which have respective characteristics.
   As it is very often installed outdoors where extreme temperture fluctuation, strong winds,
   snow and rain are expected, those environmental condition is major consideration in designing
