Installation
Transformers can be installed with several different methods. For instance, by using the middle hole of the transformer. The transformers together with their connectors are waterproof in normal conditions and can be installed above the ground in all types of pull pits. They can also be directly buried.

Testing
AGL transformers are being tested in several phases during the productions. Test procedures consist of transformation ration, phasing, earth continuity and high voltage testing in primary and secondary. All testing is made according to the IEC and FAA or, on request, according to other requirements. All test results are recorded and can be supplied with the delivery, if requested.

Encapsulation
Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is a modern engineering material with excellent electrical and mechanical properties and good chemical resistance to the chemicals that commonly exist at the airfields. TPE also has a very good resistance to weathering.

Transformers are approved by IEC and/or FAA and comply also with ICAO annex 14.

General
Eflas AGL series transformers are designed and manufactured according to international specifications. The toroidal shape of the transformers is optimum for the sizes regularly used in supplying lighting to airfields. The toroidal shape also enables production of designs with excellent efficiency due to the rightshaped magnetic field.
