The company was first awarded a BS EN ISO accreditation in 1996. The company has been an approved NICEIC contractor since 1982. It is a founder member of the British Capacitor Manufacturers Association (BCMA). In the financial year 2008/2009 the company employed 20 staff and achieved an overall turnover for all products in excess of ?2.6million.

Power Capacitors Limited also supplies IMO iDrive and Jaguar Inverters. These products are often referred to as variable speed drives or frequency converters (240-volt 3-phase output from a 240-volt 1-phase input). All IMO products comply with applicable European and Worldwide standards. The iDrive has a 2-year warranty; Jaguar inverters have a 5-year warranty.

In 1984 the company commenced manufacture of static and rotary phase converters, adopting the TRANSWAVE brand name. The TRANSWAVE converter is a device designed for the operation of machinery driven by three phase motors where only a single phase electricity supply is available (typically 380/415-volt 3-phase output from a 220/240-volt or 440/480-volt 1-phase input).
