The MPP1 and MPP3 families are commonly used in motor run and HID lighting applications. The MPP1 has a temperature rating of -45 C to +70 C, and the MPP3 has a temperature rating of -45 C to +90 C. The case is aluminum with a steel cover. The oil is a food grade vegetable oil. The capacitor can be provided in single or dual construction with 2, 3, or 4 quick disconnects per terminal. Bleeder resistors and high cup terminal bushings are available per customer request. The voltage ratings available are 125, 250, 330, 370, 400, 440, 550, 660, 1500, and 2500 VAC. Capacitance values range from 0.5 mfd to 80 mfd. Polypropylene and Polyester dielectrics are used depending on the application of the capacitor. There are two levels of estimated product life time available 25,000 hours and 100,000 hours.
