- Stereo Power Amplifier IC
- General Description: The TDA1519C is an integrated class-B dual output amplifier in a 9-lead plastic single in-line power package or 20-lead heatsink small outline package. For the TDA1519CTH (SOT418-3), the heatsink is positioned on top of the package, which allows an external heatsink to be mounted on top. The heatsink of the TDA1519CTD (SOT397-1) is facing the PCB, allowing the heatsink to be soldered onto the copper area of the PCB.
- Features: (1) Requires very few external components for Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) operation. (2) Stereo or BTL application. (3) High output power.(4) Low offset voltage at output (important for BTL applications). (5) Fixed gain. (6) Good ripple rejection.(7) Mute/standby switch. (8) Load dump protection. (9) AC and DC short-circuit safe to ground and VP. (10) Thermally protected. (11) Reverse polarity safe. (12) Capability to handle high energy on outputs (VP = 0 V). (13) No switch-on/switch-off plops.(14) Protected against electrostatic discharge. (15) Low thermal resistance. (16) Identical inputs (inverting and non-inverting). (17) Pin compatible with TDA1519B (TDA1519C and TDA1519CSP)
- Functional Description: The TDA1519C contains two identical amplifiers with differential input stages. The gain of each amplifier is fixed at 40 dB. A special feature of this device is the mute/standby switch which has the following features: (1) Low standby current (<100 mA). (2 )Low mute/standby switching current (allows for low-cost supply switch). (3) Mute condition.
