The PN4040 is a worldwide cable channel decoder chip designed for DVB-C systems based on Quadrature
Amplitude Modulation (QAM).
It is fully compliant with ITU-T J.83 Annex A/C and ETS 300 429 cable system standard bit streams.
It can handle square (4, 16, 64, 256-QAM) and non-square (32,128-QAM) constellations.
The chip integrates single or differential ADC that delivers the required performance to handle up to
256-QAM- Signal in a direct IF sampling architecture.
It can support 7 and 8MHz channel and interface commercially available MPEG2 decoders.
