One can have a field day for birding with over 375 species found in the 30 sq. km. Keoladeo National Park situated with in 60 kms. from the Taj Mahal. Both of them are listed in the World heritage site. Keoladeo is unique for the number of bird species and their overall number. It is comprised of wetland, woodland and grass land.and is heaven for waterfowl, herons, cranes and birds of prey apart from the mammals, such as Samber, Chital, Nilgai, Black Buck, Python can also be seen very easily. The star attraction is the Siberian Crane which comes in winter from November to March. A visit is a must for serious birders and it can be conveniently explored on foot. Over trails intersection the wetlands, or by boat, bicycle or rickshaw.
