Features
The visualization and instrumentation tools improve software development efficiency with system management and multi-processor real-time analysis.
The provides a comprehensive set of DSP functions optimized for the Altivec floating point vector processor.
The provides applications with hardware abstraction, allowing all task-to-task communications to have a consistent interface, removing dependencies on operating system, local architectures, and interconnect technology.
Supporting VxWorks 6.3 and future releases, the provides a complete set of functions to control the AV6 hardware features. Employing the Continuum Software Architecture standard, the BSP has common and portable APIs with all the latest generation Curtiss-Wright products
The CHAMP-AV6 is supported with the Continuum suite of software development tools including board support packages, communications middleware, DSP libraries and multi-processor instrumentation and analysis tools.
Software Development for the CHAMP-AV6
The CHAMP-AV6 utilizes the VPX-REDI format to unleash the tremendous I/O bandwidth of its eight FreeScale PowerPC 8641 processor cores (Four 8641D dual-core processors). The local and off-board Serial RapidIO interfaces provide up to 10X the communications bandwidth that was achievable with the VME format. Signal processing applications with streaming dataflows will benefit greatly from the dual 64-bit DDR2 memory subsystem associated with each 8641.
