The L-PSU converts the exchange battery input into the voltagesrequired by the Local Exchange Terminal common control equipmentand line cards. It uses a DC-to-DC switching converter for highefficiency and low thermal dissipation. Only one L-PSU is requiredto power each LET shelf; however, an additional card slot is providedfor a redundant L-PSU.The L-PSUs provide a redundant capability so that the system canoperate when a failure occurs on either of the L-PSUs.The panel indicates ACTV (green), FUSE (red). The unit alsoprovides alarm and status indications to the CPU. Test jacks on thefront panel allow the monitoring of system voltages.Features- High efficiency switching DC-DC converter- Reverse polarity protection- Over-voltage/ Over-current shut down- Low voltage alarm- Low thermal dissipation- Low voltage disconnect
