"Contact us for your power resistor needs!"
Our Neutral Earthing Resistors are designed to dissipate a large amount pf energy without exceeding temperature limitations recommended by IEEE Standard 32. The allowable temperature rise for the 10, 30 and 60 seconds rating is 760 degree C. For extended time ratings (>10 minutes) the allowable temperature rise is 610 degree C. For continuous ratings the allowable temperature rise is 385 degree C.
Design Criteria:
Application:
Neutral Earthing Resistors are usually inserted between the neutral of a generator or transformer and ground to limit the maximum fault current to a value which
will not damage generating, transmission, distribution and other associated equipment, yet high enough to operate protective relays to clear the fault.
