The TCS10/11 Series provides a longer detection distance. This means a smaller magnet can be used for a given magnet-to-sensor distance.
An increasing number of digital products such as cell phones and notebook PCs has a magnetic sensor. The intent is to sense the approach and movement of an object by monitoring the density and the rate of change of the magnetic field around it. While the previous sensors are sensitive only to the S or N field, the new additions to the TCS10/11 Series support the sensing of both fields.
