When mounted in a thermowell, the inset may be easely replaced, wihtout removing ther thermowell from the pipe and wihtout any interruption of the process.
The sensing elements incorporated in all these insets are protected by st. st. sheath. They can be equipped with one or two resistance temperature detectors Pt100 (RTD's). The sensor supplies an electrical signal corresponding to the temperature. The connection head carries a ceramic block for connecting the wires, attached by 2 scews with springs. The travel of this spring mounting assures the inset touching the bottom of the thermowell for a good thermal conductivity, compensation of lengh tolerances in thermowells and protection against vibrations,
