OverviewThe CS05 AC Current Sensor uses a current transformer to sense the amount of current drawn by a load and activates a relay when the current exceeds a preset level (as low as 100 milliamperes). Because a current transformer is used instead of a shunt/burden resistor, the CS05 generates virtually no heat which makes it ideal for prolonged monitoring purposes.ApplicationsStatus Monitoring of devices such as: Lights, Fans, Air-Conditioners, Solenoids, Valves, etcEnergy Management Systems (EMS)Building Control Systems (BCS)Home AutomationOperationInput voltage must be supplied at all times for proper operation. Adjust the desired trigger level by monitoring the load current while turning the adjustment knob until the LED lights up (indicating that the status relay is energized) at the desired load current. The CS05 module is now configured and will turn the status relay on and off when the load current is above or below the preset trigger level respectively.SpecificationsModelCS05DescriptionAC Current SensorSensor TypeCurrent TransformerInput Supply220 to 240 VAC / 50 to 60 HzOutput Supply(To Load)Taken from Input SupplyMaximum Load Current5 A (Fused)Trigger Type / RangeLevel Detection / Adjustable between 0.1 to 3 A (+/-5%)Status RelaySPDT, Potential Free (labeled as NO, NC and COM)Dimensions (mm)86 (W) x 66 (D) x 28 (H)
