The sensor is intended for contactless speed sensing and for rotating ferromagnetic disc or mark position scanning. The sensor is of an active type in the following configuration: permanent magnet - integrated circuit with the Hall sensor. The sensor identifies the position at zero speed, i.e. at idle scanning disk and after actuation of supply voltage. This sensor requires a power supply.
