Cross sensitivities for oil, solvents or hydrogen, and thereby activated false alarms, are over now. The measurement signal stays stable within a wide temperature range. The CI 21 can be operated
in temperature ranges of - 35 up to + 55 degreeC with a tremendous accuracy. If there's an ammonia leakage the CI 21 reacts quickly. In less than 8 seconds an alarm is activated. It doesn't matter
if you need to measure ammonia in a few ppm or up the Vol.% range - the CI 21 allows for a wide range of applications, which other sensors do not provide.
The Charge Carrier Injection Sensor CI 21 is based on a brand new detection principle. The shortcomings of the established detection methods initiated the development of new material adsorbing the
ammonia without the need of oxidation. With special micro-structured electrodes the ammonia concentration can accurately be determined over a large detection range. The cell does not get damaged or
used up and therefore a long life span is realized. Cross sensitivities to other gases are clearly reduced with this method. Moreover, the transmitter is fully functional in almost dry air and does
not dry out. Measuring errors by variations in temperature hardly occur. The sensor reacts in less than eight seconds in case of ammonia leakages.
